Different small and big cities, regions and landscapes will surely meet your needs!
Due to our central location, you get very quickly to the Hanseatic city of Hamburg, Stade or the fairytale city Buxtehude. Cuxhaven, together with its mudflat and its island named “Neuwerk”, is only 100 km away. Lübeck and Lüneburg are good destinations for a day trip.
Luneburg Heath awaits you with a landscape completely different to ours in Altes Land. The other side of the Elbe attracts visitors with its marshland around Wedel, a very flat landscape, which can serve as a part of a bike trip.

All these are cities or regions located directly around Altes Land and are worth visiting. As a result you will recognize that one visit only is not enough to discover the variety of our region.
